It did not take long for the supporters of WikiLeaks to show their disaproval to the harassment Julian Assange and the turmoil at Wikileaks.
Trumped-up accusations of sexual misconduct, a produce of the Pentagon with its mighty influence on Sweden put Julian in British prison and one can expect more attacks against different entities that cooperate with the ban and the accusation.
Staff hackers in the Pentagon and other US departments are trying to figure out the ways how to defend their precious internet and other connections and secrets that leak like an old roof after the tornado.
By now they probably realize that “Nec Hercules, Contra plures”. (It is Latin you desk soldiers) which translates to – Even Hercules is weak against many.
An anonymous international cyber group issued the following declaration:
Anonymous is sick and tired of these corporations seeking to control the internet in their pursuit of profit. Anonymous cannot sit by and do nothing while these organizations stifle the spread of ideas and attack those who wish to exercise their rights to share with others. Anonymous will not just watch while others are attacked. Their servers have been shut down and they will remain so for as long as there is no true freedom of information and data.
As a result of this group some fat cats got hurt and their websites got DDOS’ed.
DDOS – (distributed denial of service) – attacks took down mastercard.com. MasterCard stated on Monday that it would no longer process donations to WikiLeaks. Now they try to rebuild their website and it won’t be an easy thing to do.
The same happened to generally hated money hungry PayPal that made a similar mistake as MasterCard after an intervention from the US State Department.
Visa has today ordered, IT firm – DataCell a small Icelandic company processing transfers made by Visa and MasterCard, to suspend all of its transactions – including other payees –after it cut off all the firm’s donations being made to WikiLeaks. Now Visa is no longer an online entity.
DataCell threatened with “immediate legal actions” and warned “the end of the credit card business worldwide”.
No Plastic money? We the ordinary people will carry cash and save lots without being in debt up to our ears.
The Swiss Bank, that froze Julian’s assets, was hit hard by DDOS too.
Anonymous are usually young, intelligent people who are sick and tired of the crap produced everyday by the government, covering up its mistakes and misdoings and make-believe democracy that does not exist in US.
Even not very sophisticated people can see the bullshit produced by US Congress, State Department and both ruling parties.
They are tired of wars against people and countries that did nothing to US. Whose only fault was they were small, unarmed and wanted to be left alone.
Operation Payback smells with a new form of revolution, a cyber revolution that can bancrupt banks, media and the governments, who do not understand the will of the people.
Nobody knows how powerful the Wikileaks supporters army really is thought I am certain there is “over 9000” of them.
