Being An Ex CIA Access Agent You Tend To “Hear” Things. When Did Osama Bin Laden Die Again?
The Hollywood-like scenario of our “brave Navy Seals attacking a compound in Abbottabad 96 kilometers from Islamabad and killing five defenders including Osama would make a perfect scene for “Mission Impossible”?
Wouldn’t Four American helicopters in attack formation approaching Islamabad bring attention of the security forces of Pakistani defenses? A fake, Photoshop mirrored picture of dead Osama is so far the only “proof” of his death.
Allegedly the helicopters flew away with the dead body of a villain and dumped him in the sea. It sounds as genuine as the above description of make-believe actions.
And all this thanks to 10 years of tens of thousands of American troops and magnificent CIA work and 33-year-old Abbottabad resident Sohaib Athar passing a message on the twitter to the word –” Look Osama might be there, right there go and get him” becoming ‘the guy who live-blogged the Osama raid without knowing it”.
Who will believe that three Pakistani military outposts in vicinity of the compound never suspected 3000 square feet compound hidden behind barbed wires with armed guards on a roof on behind double gates. Wouldn’t it ever arise a suspicion of the Pakistani Army?
I am glad Osama is dead but I doubt in a whole story of the “heroic” action of both the CIA and the Navy Seals and I suspect Hollywood was somehow influencing the narrative part of it.
Chances are Osama died years back due to a kidney failure or have we really killed him on foreign territory against the international laws?
Now his death could make him an even more powerful motivator for his supporters, though for a number of years he was an irrelevant icon of Jihad.
Of course Washington has less reason or justification for a war in Afghanistan now that bin Laden is dead.
He will be hailed as a “martyr” who championed Islam against America.
Al-Qaeda didn’t die with Osama. and one can see a case of possible reprisal attacks against the US by the various branches of radical Muslims to attempt to prove their power by avenging his death, in particular in attacks against American targets.
